number keyboard

Hi there!!

My name is Roger and I have an app that I use it everyday to do my job.

I use it to make quotations for my clients, I have different referenced tables, one of these tables is “products” and it key is a number code, by example “30191”, in the referenced table “product detail” at the search section, when I need to add a new item I’d like it to active de number keyboard and no the alfabetic keyboard.

Currently when I have to add a new item it always shows me the alfabetic keyboard and those are valuable seconds that would make my job easier and faster.

Sorry for my english.

Thank you for your time

Hi, how are you? I think it’s a GREAT idea. Honestly, I had never noticed that before. Could you post this in the Feature ideas section?

In the column setup, pick “Label” for the Display Mode

It’s strange @AlexM . But it doesn’t work for iPhone. If you place what you say, the + and - simply disappear, but the field to write is the same. Then in Range, as is known, a bubble appears and can be moved. Standard simply adds the + or the -, but the field is the default one. With Auto, you let AppSheet decide. But when you tap inside the field, the keyboard appears as our colleague @jortiz804 points out.

I think, if I understood correctly, it’s how to configure so that instead of the text keyboard appearing, the numeric pad appears. That doesn’t happen with IPHONE devices at least. The keyboard appears where the numbers and special characters are, but not the numeric pad.

I think that, in case of not getting a solution, it is a nice topic for the “Feature Ideas” section.

Weird enough, I am sure in the past, if I had it on Auto was the text keyboard and on Label the numpad keyboard.
Just tried now on both settings and it’s a numpad on both for Number fields.
Long live the Samsung

It is logical to think that Google will prioritize Android over iPhone, however it would be good if it also applied to iPhone.

@Gustavo_Eduardo Just buy a Samsung. The Samsung Fold is awesome for Appsheet anyway :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: :joy:

This is how it looks on Android:

And this is how it looks on iPhone:

The Display mode is set to “Label”.

Can you confirm?
To me this looks ok.

Here is also a tip about installing Numpad app.
